MBFWB S/S 2013 - No.I

BACK HOME. 6 days I spend in Berlin for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S 2013.

 Now I am finally at home. It was a very strange feeling leaving Berlin - that it is over - for this season. 
But here we go - Now with the real work. 

I will spend the next days with working on the pictures and impressions for you. 

As I told you before I am going to upload them as a magazine for you

DIY Works!

DIY. Today I wanted to give you an overview of my work during the last four days.
I was DIY-ing and designing a lot the last days and now I've finished three projects.
Hopefully I can show you some outfits I am going to combine those fashion pieces with.
Well, see my self-designed collars, Tumblr-inspired shorts & silver varnished shoes.


 
COLLARS. I was just cutting out those collars & sew it with some great fabrics.
I decided to use silver and the last rests of my leo fabrics as well.
You see it's quite simple to do it on your own and makes every simple outfit very special.
  















TUMBLR-INSPIRED SHORTS. As you may have seen on Tumblr several times 
- wrecked and fabric mixes on jeans shorts are absolutly hot atm. 
I searched online shops and was very surprised about the prices. 
So I made my own. I used my last leo fabric and 
printed the flag of the USA on another.

SLVR METALLIC. As you may have seen in many collections 

or runways of well-known designers are metallic and silver elements for spring fashion. 

During searching for my perfect silver shirt or tee, an idea came into my mind

 - the idea of DIY SLVR Shoes. IT'S SO EASY TO DO IT.

YOU NEED: Old shoes you don't like anymore, silver acrylic colour

 and something to colour your shoes.

LET'S GET SILVER.

ROARK 'FLIGHT' S/S 2012 - LOOKBOOK

ROARK. Hopefully somebody of you remembers my feature about 

this simply stunning label from LA last summer.

In case of those lovely designers & team of ROARK I have the privilege and the honor to present you the exclusive LOOKBOOK of their upcoming collection called 'FLIGHT'. 

This collection is inspired by rites of becoming a man, being a part of a manhood.

It represents the growth of every individual man going through the tribes and tribulation of life.

The title of the collection 'FLIGHT' comes from the ups and downs 

everybody is through during the evolution of themselves.

'Flight is an ode to a departing from

immaturity and honors the struggle, training, and ultimate accomplishment of

becoming a better version of yourself.' - Chris Allison, Designer

OVERVIEW & LOOKBOOK OF 'FLIGHT'

When it comes to ROARK I am falling in love mostly with every piece of the collection.

I am loving the minimalistic and very straight cut and edges of the clothes.

It's kind of special, but you could wear it everyday.

When I am looking at that collection I really feel connected to nature and deeply in love with
those rough textures & fabrics.

Looks hard, but coated in soft colours.

My favorite pieces from the collection are both outfits from the second close-up picture, the shirt from the forth on the left in black, the knitwear coat on the fifth one, the black coat on the seventh picture and as well the black trousers on the last picture. I definitely would wear those pieces day by day.

Beauty in Simplicity.

Finally. Term No. 1 is as good as done. After working my ass off the last nights for several projects, which I am going to show you in a while - it's done. After getting to know different and new people, learning, experimenting, illustrating, developing and designing a lot and forgetting even more - we are one step closer.

Now it's time for some ideas to take on shapes. Hopefully there will be a little time during my two weeks off,  for designing and creating my ideas.

There was a lot of input during this term, but there is one thing, which is quite sure for me.

I am a minimalistic designer.

Every try of creating something colourful or bright wasn't that good.

So, here we go. Minimize your Design to what it truely needs. 

Live White.

This was just a try of picture fashion differently.

Fetish x Bondage x Leather x Fashion

Having fetish, bondage or heavy leather elements in fashion is nothing new.

While I was researching Tumblr, Stores, Fashion Shooting etc. the last time,

exactly those elements attracting my attention.

I've put some pictures together to show you the hard and filthy spirit and look of those

fetish elements in fashion.

I really love some headpieces and installations.

Nothing for everyday, BUT I would really like to wear some of those pieces for a fashion shooting.

Hi our dear readers,

time has obviously been passing since we visited the BerlinFashionWeek, but nonetheless we didn't make it to tell you the whole story yet.

There is one special label from Berlin I personally want to show you, because I simply love their stuff. 

It's called SOPOPULAR.

The look can somehow be described as a mixture of modesty and modernity, combining in their S/S 2012 collection a variety of shades of blue and grey and various sand-coloured fabrics.

In the same way the cuts swing between classic (shirts and jackets) and more spacy (tees and coats).

Sand-coloured jacket and trousers & graphic print tee.

Wonderful light blue shirt, high waist trousers & really cool grey high-top sneakers.

Graphic tee with chino & the grey high-top sneakers.

An extraordinary coat plus simple grey tee, dark blue chino & fascinating blue boots.

 So we had the great honor to visit them at this year's SEEK exhibition (they moved there from the PREMIUM, where we found them last season – which (by the way) has been a wise decision in my opinion) and to get a little sneak preview to what we can expect from these fabulous fashion makers in A/W 2012/13.

My favorite: The turquoise marbled shirt. 

My absolute favorite: The leather and grey marbled coat. I fell in love with it! <3

My favorites: The grey plain & marbled long sleeves.

So we impatiently are looking forward to the things that will come up next.
