MBFWB S/S 2013 - No.I

BACK HOME. 6 days I spend in Berlin for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S 2013.

 Now I am finally at home. It was a very strange feeling leaving Berlin - that it is over - for this season. 
But here we go - Now with the real work. 

I will spend the next days with working on the pictures and impressions for you.

...Hello, Mr. Postman.

NEW IN. Excuse me guys, but I have no clue where to start. There are so many things going on atm.

First my summer holidays are starting right now, which means finally time to relax and to work on new projects. 

Secondly Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is damn close - today I am thinking for the first time about what to take with me. 

Because everyday I found some more invitations for shows, events or something like that 

 I am completely out of mind, it such a big thing for me. 

BUT in case of so many shows and events it's so much work to do 

-especially the postproduction. In case of lots of pictures 

I am NOT going to upload the pictures each by each post by post.

After I am going to work on a magazine with all the impressions of Fashion Week 

which I am going to upload for you. 

You must be completely damn crazy If you read this text until now

 - BUT I you had - Here's a little kiss for you. Because I am so thankful.

Somethings to come up.

UPDATE. It's been a long time since the last post update, but now I am alive again.

No, the reason for my long abstinence was lots of work. 

For example some creative work for university needs to be done, which I am going to show you asap - my second calligraphy book is done.

Furthermore the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin S/S 2013 is so close I could start packing bags.

This year is going to be different than before, beside those great fashion exhibitions:

We're invited for several fashion shows within the Fashion Week Tent:

FRIDA WEYER | SOPOPULAR | DIMITRI | MARCEL OSTERTAG.

I am so excited, because it's my first time being a part of it.

In case of the upcoming event I've started ordering new clothes or design my own.

Not even most of them had arrived.

More over yesterday night a friend of mine cut my hair and diyed it black.

Feeling very normal without my turquoise hair, but I needed a change.

(1) new business cards arrived (2) new boots from ebay (3) finally got my nike air mac

(4) two new shorts made of old one (5) new collar jewellery seen on MaxWestin

Hi our dear readers,

time has obviously been passing since we visited the BerlinFashionWeek, but nonetheless we didn't make it to tell you the whole story yet.

There is one special label from Berlin I personally want to show you, because I simply love their stuff. 

It's called SOPOPULAR.

The look can somehow be described as a mixture of modesty and modernity, combining in their S/S 2012 collection a variety of shades of blue and grey and various sand-coloured fabrics.

In the same way the cuts swing between classic (shirts and jackets) and more spacy (tees and coats).

Sand-coloured jacket and trousers & graphic print tee.

Wonderful light blue shirt, high waist trousers & really cool grey high-top sneakers.

Graphic tee with chino & the grey high-top sneakers.

An extraordinary coat plus simple grey tee, dark blue chino & fascinating blue boots.

 So we had the great honor to visit them at this year's SEEK exhibition (they moved there from the PREMIUM, where we found them last season – which (by the way) has been a wise decision in my opinion) and to get a little sneak preview to what we can expect from these fabulous fashion makers in A/W 2012/13.

My favorite: The turquoise marbled shirt. 

My absolute favorite: The leather and grey marbled coat. I fell in love with it! <3

My favorites: The grey plain & marbled long sleeves.

So we impatiently are looking forward to the things that will come up next.

Fashion Rock Night 2012

On Friday Night we went to 
FASHION ROCK NIGHT 2012 hosted by BONNIE STRANGE.

It was - let's call it interessting.

The mood in the crowd was a bad as the waiting time for the show of round about 2 hours.
But finally after waiting so long lovely BONNIE entered the stage to welcome the crowd.
It goes without saying, that berlin's most interesting new fashion icon Bonnie looks more than just fabulous.
In her vintage dresses & bodies she looks like she came from another decade - for sure.
I've never seen such variable character like her, which is so talented and likeable.
It'd be a shame to call her an 'it-girl' because she is much more than that.

But back to the show.
It was quite a nice feeling living between rockmusic & fashion at the same time.
The location was really fucked-up with concured with the mood of the show perfectly.

ambivalent.

Straying trough the halls of the SEEK I've found a label which combines 

classic looks with the mood and style of cool skaters.

It has never came up into my mind crossing basics shirts with simple logos and put it into a skater-fashion-label. It nothing new that the skater-look is appearing on the streets again and is 'en-vogue'.

But all of those 'skaterboys' are looking quite the same and kinda childish in their coloured shirts and their high-sneakers.  There are people, who are interested in this style as well, but do not want to wear something which doesn't fit to their style anyway.

 ( And the 'typical' style of the skaters is something you need like to wear)

AMBIVALENT is a new label from Berlin.

The founders are COLLIN McLEAN  & KAI HILLEBRAND

The idea behind the label was to create clothes which are not only representing the skateboarding sport, but the spirit and mood behind it.

Inspirations coming from berlin nightlife, music scene & berlin's skateboard scene.

Premium Exhibition Impressions.

THE PREMIUM EXHIBITION FASHION TRADE SHOW 2012

was one of our stops on our trip to Berlin.

We took a little time - once or twice - to range trough the halls and have a look at some very average labels and some really exciting ones - therefore will be up another post. So be prepared for more Fashion News.

I had a special eye on the design of the halls and each stand of the fashion designers.

Some were really good and represented the labels quite good.

I guess it was really fun straying around and having a little small-talk with some of the designers.

Therefore the PREMIUM is an excellent possibility.

But let my pictures speak for themselves.
